A great new side project from Carrie of Domaine des Enfants. Vivienne Catherine is 100% Syrah from granit soil, in the Rousillon, not far from Maury. Carrie has been experimenting with stem contact and makes a sachet filled with stems that can be removed when she wants. The wine is aged for 18 months in barrel. Quite firm spicy peppery fruit, with youthful potential. She makes a single vineyard Grenache too - but I really like this one.
