Doniene is situated in Spain's Basque region, right beside the seaside on the green cliffs above the Bay of Biscay. Doniene were one of the pioneers in the revial of Txacoli, in the 2000s. They mainly use the lacal grapes Hondarrabi Zuri and Hondarrabi Beltza and their wines are amazing and characterful. Their vineyards have the sea on one side and the ocean on the other, creating fantastically distinctive wines with real freshness and noticeable salinity. Light, crisp, super dry and only 11% alcohol.
