Sal da Terra Albarino 2020
This is a joint venture between Eulogio Pomares of Zárate, Ben Henshaw, a wine importer, and Jamie Goode wine writer. A winemaker, a wine seller and a wine writer walk into a bar - there's definitely a joke in there somewhere! The old-vine grapes are from two different vineyards. One is aged in wood and the other in concrete, before blending. It's really dry, and fresh - the kind of wine that makes you want to be sitting somewhere warm with a sea breeze, with a big plate of calamari. It's got nice weight too - a serious Albarino if you like.
