Ponce Estrecha 2022

From Manchuela in Castilla La Mancha, and made from the local grape Bobal. from an old, one-plus-hectare single vineyard on the granitic soils where bush-vine Bobal thrives. There is minimal intervention in the winemaking, which brings real terroir characters to the glass: fermentation with indigenous yeast and whole clusters - basically the grapes being treated as simply as possible. Really brightly coloured which might lead you to believe this is going to be a vibrant, fruity style of wine, but beyond its brambly fruit character, there is Bobal's tannic edge and a mineral, crushed stones quality.
