Grangeneuve Monbazillac 2020

Monbazillac is in South West France, just south of Bergerac, and has a great reputation for making affordable, luscious sweet wines to be drunk in their youth. Being by the river means the vines are exposed to autumn morning mists which favour the development of the famous natural process of Noble Rot. This concentrates the sugars and gives the wonderful sweetness to the grapes. Made from Semillion, with a little Muscadelle and Sauvignon Blanc. Beautiful nose off honey, acacia and peaches, with a sweet palate of stone fruits, baked pear and barley sugar with a softly honeyed finish.
