Château Saransot-Dupré Listrac-Médoc 2020 Magnum

Saransot Dupre is from the Listrac Medoc region of Bordeaux. Wines here are known for their savoury character and for needing time to soften. Often they are structured and elegant. This wine is dominated by Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc also part of the blend. The nose shows plum, blackcurrant and violets with some cedar and clove also. The fruit is quite rich on the palate but the tannins give structure and balance. Fresh acidity and a long finish. This can be enjoyed now but should get better over the coming years.
