Jean-Christophe learnt biodynamic farming and wine making from Leonard Humbrecht, so it's no surprise that these wines are fantastic and he's fast becoming a rising star in Alsace. Jean-Christophe makes long fermentations, between 3 and 9 months! , creating lots of complex flavours. The resulting wines are incredibly expressive and complex, and certainly among the best in the region. He also releases his wines whne he thinks they are ready, so current releases are between 3 and 7 years old, adding extra complexity. Pure, salty and mineral - not descriptors you often associate with Alsace- with a lemony, citrus twang. Lean and taught with lots of complexity.
