Badoz Cotes du Jura Blanc Chardonnay 2022

Based in Poligny on a tiny vineyard, Benoit Badoz is well known for working at Louis Carillon in Puligny, Petrus and in Napa before taking over from his father, the founder of "la percee du Vin jaune" (an annual wine festival Arbois), in 2003. His 2009 cuvee les Roussots made from Trousseau is the only red wine from the Jura that won "reussite exceptionnelle" in la Revue du vin de France. This Chardonnay is made with equal care and winemaking skills. A lovely aromatic and pure nose with apricots and pears coming through on the palate. A well balanced finish. Very refreshing.
