Champagne

Terroir
Montigny sous Chatillon, Vallée de la Marne with our Chardonnay from Vitry. Champagne "Les Vignes de Montigny" is made from two plots on the southern slopes of Montigny. The exposure is due south on sands and marls, a mixture of clay and limestone called Marne. The plots are made up of young Pinot Noir (15 years old) and very old Meunier vines (65 years old).

Grape
90% Meunier, 10% Chardonnay

Method
The wine is made in vats and barrels ( 70% - 30%) – Aging on lees. Without malolactic fermentation. Prolonged aging on lees in bottles (3 to 4 years).

Dosage: 3g/L

Style
Dosed at only 3g/l, this blend of majority Meunier and Chardonnay offers a discreet nose. The palate is fluid, supple and creamy, marked by peony, currant, candied citrus fruits and liquorice. Salivating and greedy, this cuvée would be ideal as an aperitif.
