This small estate, with 20ha of hillside vineyards, is owned by Antonio Canto Moniz (originally a surgeon but from five generations of winemakers in the Dao region) with his youngest son Henrique now in charge of the winemaking. This densely structured wine is only just approaching maturity. Juicy black fruits give promise of balancing with the firm tannins and black-pepper edge.
